About the Warriors

The Golden State Warriors were founded in 1946 and began as the Philadelphia Warriors. They remained in Philadelphia until 1962 when they made the switch to San Francisco. They  were known as the San Francisco Warriors until 1971 when they change their name to the Golden State Warriors. They then made the switch to Oakland and have called Oracle Arena their home since 1972. In 2019 it is known that the Warriors will make the transition to San Francisco once again. They are also apart of the Pacific Division which is a sub division in the Western Conference that consists of the Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, the Phoenix Suns and the Sacramento Kings.
